In one of his last live performances, James Ingram sings the Barry Mann / Cynthia Weil song that bolted his musical career to stardom. Just Once was live at Joe Morton Auditorium in Washington D.C. on September 27, 2007. The Gwen Ifill hosted event honored esteemed producer and conductor Quincy Jones.
The single Just Once was released from Quincy Jones' album The Dude on A&M Records in 1981. James Ingram's vocals earned him triple Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist. "One Hundred Ways" from the same album won him the Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance.
