Wrigleys obstetric forceps also called outlet forceps are used for assisted vaginal delievery in maternal exhausted state or in order to assist mother in second stage of labour in medical conditions like cardiac disease or severe anemia. Instrumental vaginal delievery is used to curtail labour and expedite delievery process.
