Memories of the times, effects of the kidnapping, suicide bombings, and life threatening events. A struggle of culture clash, love affairs, and friendships developing in an unpredictable land.

Debbie Rodriguez, author -- writes with personal experience having lived in Afghanistan and seeing the dangers of violence and destruction. Moving from the U.S., Rodriguez set up the country's 1st beauty school in Kabul.

Her first book -- Kabul Beauty School -- tells the true stories of the lives of students attending the school, a glimpse of life behind the veil.
