The 15,000 BTU multi-sector burner with its ingenious design is actually two burners in one, a feature that gives you amazing control. The outer burner is 12,000 BTU's and the inner burner is 3,000 BTU's. Of course this power burner is terrific for bringing big pots of water quickly to a boil but if you are cooking a big pot of soup or chili the great thing is you don't have to move the pot to another burner to simmer, you just turn off one of the burners to reduce the BTU output.
The 11,000 BTU Rapid Burner provides the right amount of heat for searing and saute and the 3,400 BTU burner for gently simmering a sauce or making oatmeal or rice. Its amazing how much easier cooking is when you have tools like these to cook with and because you can choose the appropriate heat for the type of food you are cooking you can eliminate spillovers which makes clean-up much easier.
