EXPO Noticias de la Red -- 23 August: As one of the activities to celebrate the bicentennial of the Argentine revolution, the Argentine Secretariat of Culture and the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship have jointly organized the performance of Iñaki Urlezaga's Ballet Concierto group together with the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra within the premises of EXPO Shanghai 2010.
Iñaki Urlezaga has previously staged shows for a month at Spain's Apollo theatre and was a success. On this occasion, he has come with the Ballet Concierto group, directed by Master Lilian Giovine, in order to offer a wonderful artistic party to the public together with the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra during 28 and 29 August at EXPO Shanghai2010.
His dance is a fusion of Argentine tango and folk music, which shows the audience the highest level of dance and music. This work was specially created by Iñaki Urlezaga and his company in order to commemorate the bicentennial of the Argentine revolution. Lilian Giovine is the art director and Eliana Franco Figueroa and Franco Cadelago will be the guest dancers.
The work contains Iñaki's unique style; everything, from the music played to the choreography, is a piece of fine arts. Iñaki Urlezaga's style clearly shows the artistic success of his dancing career and the artistic technique he and his company have developed.
Iñaki is a contemporary dancer. His works are full of elements of modern dance and jazz, but none of these considerations matches his ability as a great ballet dancer. The colour of the main dancer's outfit changes all the time and those changes reflect the spirit of continuous renovation of tango in the face of the challenges stemming from technology and new art trends.
Iñaki Urlezaga is one of the stars who can represent Argentina in order to show its talent to the world. He has performed many times in several countries, such as Italy, Spain, and others. Not only was he a guest dancer of the Royal Ballet for 10 year, but he was also selected as a principal dancer of the Het Nationale Ballet of Netherlands from among other foreign dancers. In 2010, he performed for the first time at Syria's Damascus Opera House and Egypt's Cairo Opera House during his international tour.
