By 2050, about 70% of the world’s population is expected to live in urban areas, making it important to assure cities are emissions-free and livable. Therefore, on International Clean Air Day (September 7th), Generation Climate Europe (GCE) organised an online dialogue on the topic ‘Decarbonising Urban Transport: An Intergenerational Discussion’.
GCE will bring together actors with different perspectives, including policy, youth, non-governmental and business actors, to discuss current challenges and solutions for decarbonising urban mobility at the EU level. The discussion was focused on the importance of intergenerational justice and how this is included in EU urban mobility policies.
The event was accompanied by live sketching, make sure to watch until the end to see the entire process!
