Don't Trust A Cheap Optics Setup For SHTF
Friends don't let friends run cheap, trash tier optics for SHTF on their rifle. There is such a thing as good enough where budget meets quality.

A friend of mine recently visited with his rifle and informed me of an issue he has at his last firearms training session. Although he zeroed his optic prior to the class, once he was there it had lost zero to the point of a 40" shift in POI. That is not only reflective of the quality of the optic but could create a dangerous situation. We should strive for optics, gear and equipment that is good enough for SHTF here in the preparedness community. That doesn't mean you need the best of the best or the most expensive items. But there is a level of quality that is required if you want to trust your life to it.
