Presented at Theatr Elli - Llanelli Entertainment Centre - on Thursday 10th June 1993 (unusually not on a Friday!), with Cash Prizes continuing to be sponsored by The Llanelli Star.
Note this will be the first Miss Llanelli contest displayed on the new frontage, project started in the Autumn of 1992.
This would also mark the first year that former Deputy Manager John Barrington would be in charge of the Entertainment Centre, having taken over from Joe Phillips in April 1993.
Comedian Bob Webb - now a staple of the event - is back as compere; Llanelli Star associate Carol Lloyd provides the commentary for the day and evening wear parade, and Captain Q are back for the first time since 1990 to provide the music, under the leadership of John Quirk. Entertainment this year are from Welsh-based singers Ian Vanson and Emma Bartlett.
Set design for 1993 was by the theatre's Stage Manager Alan Lewis-Davies.
Judges this year were Llanelli RFC and Welsh International Laurance Delaney; Welsh & British Bodybuilding Champion and Gym Operator Terry Arnold; Deputy Mayor of the Borough Cllr. Uriel Thomas; the current holder - Miss Llanelli 1992 Kathryn Mantovani-Thomas; and Juror turned Model Alexa Hamley; and scrutineering the panel - and ensuring fair play - as per 1992 are Llanelli Star Editor Robert Lloyd and Cllr. Roy Coslett.
