For many travellers, having an itinerary chock-full of awesome food stops is a must. But for the Muslim traveller, finding Halal dining—much less great ones—can be quite a challenge. Faced with these difficulties while on a student exchange in Seoul, SMU Lee Kong Chian School of Business alumnus Melvin Goh—a Muslim convert himself—decided it was time to do something about this. From there, Have Halal Will Travel (#HHWT) was born. Today, this Muslim-focused travel portal is the go-to website with droves of information from Halal dining, prayer spaces to recommended intineraries.
