The poster boy of the Pirates franchise, Jack Sparrow is one of cinema's most iconic and memorable heroes by a long shot. Zimmer's theme for him captures his swagger, silliness, and drunken behavior perfectly with the use of a constant brass loop and usually a violin or other strong instruments playing his motif. But his theme is also very heroic and loud, fitting his not only jovial and lighthearted flare, but also depicting his bombastic, daring ventures as the one and "only" captain of the Black Pearl.
