The new FX 96 W builds off the success of previous FX skis, adds new tech, and wraps it into an enticing all-mountain option. Skis in this waist width category, which are upper 90s underfoot, tend to be the most versatile in the industry. The FX96 W embodies that versatility.
The build includes a wood core wrapped in fiberglass, plus oversized Hollowtech 3.0 inserts in the tips. These skis are lighter than the men’s versions and easier to ski than previous FXs with metal. But they are still Kastles, built with a special mix of smoothness, dampness, and predictability. We love these skis for women in the East or West who are looking for an all-mountain ski that performs in soft snow and doesn’t beat you up in chop or moguls.
