Shockheaded Peter or Der Struwwelpeter is based on a children's book written in 1845 by Heinrich Hoffmann, a German doctor and author. It comprises 10 illustrated and rhymed stories, mostly all about children. Each has a clear moral that demonstrates the disastrous consequences of misbehavior in exaggerated way. The title of the first story provides the title of the whole book.
"We put together a new version of the show, with new, original musical compositions of the stories. With a cast ranging from Year 7 to 13, a team of narrators, a selection of styles across the stories and an ensemble cast of more than 60, we welcome you to Shrewsbury International School's original interpretation of Shockheaded Peter..."
