Hijab row escalates again in the state of Karnataka. Two colleges in the Vijaypura district of Karnataka have now declared a two day holiday after students were seen wearing saffron scarves to protest against Hijab-wearing students on the campus. This comes after the government has made its stand clear on the matter, making the uniform mandatory and advising students to not wear clothing items that are likely to hurt religious sentiments. The government has further added equality and integrity is of paramount importance. In another incident, students wearing saffron scarves were asked to take off the scarves on the campus.
