Ingredients:
A. Peas : 200 gm, soak them for 7 to 8 hours. Remove from water and add:
B. Salt : 1/2 tsp
C. Turmeric powder : little bit.
D. Pierced green chilli : 4 nos
E. Water : 3 cups
Now on high flame, boil it with 3 whistles, and then wait to cool it down. Now take :
F. Big size potato : 1 nos, and skin off it and make small pieces of it, wash it. Now make a fried masala in frying pan:
G. Red chilli : 2 nos and fry them for 30 to 40 secs, now add:
H. Cinnamon : 3 nos
I. Cardamoms : 3 nos
J. Bay leave : 1 nos, break it half
K. Coriander seed : 2 tsp
L. Cumin seed : 2 tsp
Fry them for 1 minute, keep them on a plate, let it cool down, and make a powder of it in a mixer grinder. Take a frying pan and add:
M. Mustard oil : 2 tbsp, add the potato and fry them for 2 to 3 minutes. Keep them aside. Now add in the same frying pan:
N. Chopped, medium sized onion : 2 nos, fry them with medium flame for 2 minutes & add:
O. Green chilli paste : 1 tsp
P. Ginger paste : 1 tsp
Q. Garlic paste : 1/2 tsp
Fry them for 1 minute and add :
R. Chopped tomato medium sized : 1 nos.
S. Salt : According to taste
T. Cumin seed powder : 1/2 tsp
U. Coriander powder : 1 tsp
V. Turmeric powder : little bit
W. Kasmiri red chilli powder : 2 tsp
Now fry them with low to medium flame till the raw smell goes away. You can add little warm water to prevent burning of masala. Now add the potato and cook well. Now add boiled peas. Stir and mix. Add 1 cup hot water. Cover and cook to get the peas complete boiled. Now add fried masala, 3 tsp, mix well. Let it cook for few minutes and off the gas. Add some coriander leaves, chopped onion, fried masala, tamarind water and little bhujia.
