The family of a man who was shot and killed during an enouncter with Los Angeles Police officers are demanding justice and accountability for the his death.
Takar Smith, 46, a father of six, was one of three people who were killed during an encounter with officers within the first week of 2023. After Takar was shot and killed during what his family says was a mental health crisis, they're now planning to file a lawsuit against the LAPD.
