A fire broke out and burned approximately 1/2 of a dock at Lake Berryessa's Markley Cove on a late Friday night. Once on scene, firefighters from CAL FIRE LNU/Napa County Fire and multiple cooperating agencies were able to stop the fire's forward progress on the dock.
We estimated that approximately 10-20 vessels of a mix of different boats burned & sunk. That exact number will not be known until an inventory of the dock slips takes place.
There were no known injuries sustained. It's cause is under investigation.
Responding agencies include the Napa County Sheriff’s Office, CHP, AMR, St. Helena Fire Department and the Winters Fire Department.
