Chapter 1: This chapter describes how Naradji went to the Lord to ask Him for a solution for the miseries of the world. Sri Satyanarayan told Naradji that there is a fast which can be performed by anyone. The fast would result in the fulfillment of his desires and also liberation from the cycle of birth and death.
