On our Hike to the Bridge to Nowhere in the San Gabriel Mountains, we figured out how to use the white water rapids of the river as a natural water slide and swimming pool! Over eleven miles of hiking along the beautiful San Gabriel River in Los Angeles you have to cross the river several times, which makes the adventure and hiking so much better! Especially if you bring your dog.
