One win. That's all the Perth Wildcats require to lock up top spot and secure home court advantage throughout the entire NBL playoffs.
And with a home match against last-placed Townsville tonight, Perth's task appears easy.
But the championship favourites aren't getting carried away just yet, especially after suffering a shock 88-75 loss in Townsville last month.
The Wildcats sit four games clear of second-placed Adelaide, and import Jermaine Beal said the team's major focus was to secure top spot in a bid to boost their Championship credentials.
"Home court advantage in a three-game series is big. Hopefully we can get a win on Friday," Beal said ahead of the clash at Perth Arena.
"Townsville got us last time, so we know we've got to get them back on Friday.
"Our team knows we're the favourite. But we have to take it one day at a time to reach our goal, and that's win a championship."
Although star Wildcats import James Ennis has received plenty of headlines this season, Beal has also performed strongly.
The 26-year-old American is averaging 15.4 points and 3.5 assists per game this season, including a 24-point haul in Sunday's 85-81 win over the Kings in Sydney.
