The collaborative work of UNU-WIDER and TRALAC has a particular interest on what happens in terms of national policy development within the 15 members states of the Southern African Development Community and whether these policies support the objectives of regional integration.

Trudi Hartzenberg of the Trade Law Centre TRALAC expands on this collaboration and explains why regional integration in the form of market, infrastructure development and industrialization is important for Southern Africa.
