*** An Urban Journey Vlog #016 ***
Today we enjoyed our first Ciclovía in Bogotá, Colombia! Ciclovía was first started in Bogota in 1974 where the city closed a few streets and allowed pedestrians to enjoy the public space. Since the event has grown to over 75 miles of connected bike lanes and happens EVERY Sunday! It was one of our best ‘local’ experiences. Jennifer was super excited for this event, as it’s something she’s witnessed other cities replicate due to the success in Bogotá. Together we walked about 7 miles and were completely exhausted after, so this is a short vlog.

Hi! We are high school sweethearts from Atlanta, Georgia who decided to take a year off to travel. Jennifer is an architect and city planner while Elliot is a software engineer.
