Allama Iqbal’s ‘MAIN AUR TU’
)Na Saliqa Mujh Mein Kaleem Ka Na Qareena Tujh Mein Khalil Ka-Mein Halak-e-Jadoo-e-Samri, Tu Qateel-e-Shewa-e-Azari (Neither I have the manners of Hazrat Moses nor have you the ways of Hazrat Ibrahim. So we both are doomed because we followed the wrong doers , I am the victim of the magic of Samri and your destruction was due to adopting the habits of Azri)
)Main Nawaye Soukhta Dar Guloo, Tu Parida Rang, Ramida Bu-Mein Hikayat-e-Gham-e-Arzoo, Tu Hadees-e-Matam-e-Dilbari ( I am the voice that comes out of a dried up throat and you are the scent of fear and like a faded out colour. I am the fable of the sorrows of unfulfilled desires and you are quote of the mourning of love)
)Mera Aysh Gham, Mera Shehad Samm, Meri Bood Hum Nafas-e-Adam-Tera Dil Haram, Girv-e-Ajam, Tera Deen Khareeda-e-Kafiri ( Sorrow is my luxury my pleasure, and poison is my honey, my being is the soul mate and twin of the yonder world. Your sacred heart has been pawned to the Persians and your religion has been bought by the non-believers)
)Dam Zindagi Ram-e-Zindagi, Gham-e-Zindagi Sam-e-Zindagi-Gham-e-Ram Na Kar, Sam-e-Gham Na Kha Ke Yehi Hai Shan-e-Qalandari ( What a non-believer does is that he fears life till his last breath, and this sorrow and fear for life turns into poison for the very life he hold so dear. My advice is not feel the sorrow of this fear and thus by not caring for wordly things you can escape the venomous affects of this sadness and this is infact the epitome of spiritual enlightenment)
)Teri Khak Mein Hai Agar Sharar To Khiyal-e-Faqr-o-Ghana Na Kar-Ke Jahan Mein Naan-e-Shaeer Par Hai Madar-e-Quwwat-e-Haidari (If there is even one spark still smouldering in this mortal dust of your being then do not think of poverty or riches . For in this world the ordinary peasant bread has the quality to give you the immense strength of Haider.)
)Koi Aesi Tarz-e-Tawaaf Tu Mujhe Ae Charagh-e-Haram Bata!-Ke Tere Patang Ko Phir Atta Ho Wohi Sarisht-e-Samundari ( O’ lamp of the sacred shrine/Haram please tell me a way of worship through which your humble follower and fan is blessed with the courage and fervour to lay down his life for his belief and for the object of his affections)
)Gila-e-Jafaye Wafa Nama Ke Haram Ko Ahl-e-Haram Se Hai-Kisi Butkude Mein Byan Krun To Kahe Sanam Bhi ‘Hari Hari’ ( The Haram has a complaint against the dwellers of its holy land that they tend to disguise disloyalty in the garb of loyal zeal. If I spoke of this deceit of theirs in a Idol house then even the statues/gods will cry out in shock and horror)
)Na Sataiza-Gah-e-Jahan Nayi Na Hareef-e-Panja Faggan Nayay-Wohi Fitrat-e-Asadullahi, Wohi Marhabi, Wohi Aantari (Neither is this arena of the world new and nor are the rivals new who are ready to have a go at hand fighting. The nature of the lion of God remains the same and the friends, foes and contenders have also existed since ever)
)Karam Ae Shah (S.A.W.)-e-Arab-o-Ajam Ke Khare Hain Muntazir-e-Karam-Woh Gada Ke Tu Ne Atta Kiya Hai Jinhain Damagh-e-Sikandari ( In the end Iqbal calls Hazrat Muhammad PBUH for help. Lord of Arab and the alien lands we are waiting for your kindness and blessings. We are the beggers whom you have given the pride of Alexander so we maybe proud and intelligent and courageous but we are still dependent on your goodwill. )
