In this video we teach you how to factory reset your Nest Doorbell. If you moved into a home with an existing doorbell, changed your wifi network, or want to set up the doorbell on a new account or at a new location factory reseting the Nest Doorbell will allow you to start fresh like it just came out of the box.
The Nest Doorbell Battery version can work on either hardwired power or battery power and will work with your existing doorbell wiring if you have it.
If you don't have any existing wiring for your doorbell you can use it in battery mode which can run for 2-6 months before it's required to recharge depending on the usage. If you have it hardwired to your existing wiring it wont require any charging.
How To Factory Reset Nest Doorbell Battery Version -
1. Remove the Nest Doorbell from it's mounting bracket. To do this you will need the removal tool: [ Ссылка ] , a paperclip or a small screwdriver.
2. Press the button in at the top of the device using with the paperclip or tool. Hold the Nest Doorbell while doing this and slightly pull forwards.
3. The Nest Doorbell will be removed.
4. To factory reset the Nest Doorbell Battery you will need to press a paper clip or small pin into the hole located on the back of the device near the top, press the button in the hold down for 12+ seconds to factory reset the device at which point it will let out a chime that it has been factory reset. Once you hear the chime and the light has changed colors on the device you can let the pin off of the button. It will take 1-2 minutes after you release the button for the Nest Doorbell to be completely factory reset and ready to be set back up on a new account.
