The first train taking Ukrainian refugees directly from the Medyka border in Poland to Krakow left on Tuesday, taking 400 refugees on a six-hour train ride to safety.
The number of refugees fleeing Ukraine reached two million on Tuesday, according to the United Nations - the fastest exodus Europe has seen since World War II - and over one million of those have entered Poland.
It's hoped that the direct trains from the Medyka border crossing will help ease congestion at Przemysl and make the refugees' journey less tiring.
