**Runtime on High is NOT representative of the spec, and closer to two hours before it drops to the low setting.
**After some run time testing, the unit I have will run on medium for 7 hours (spec) and autodrop to low where it runs for about an hour more. Meanwhile, my original NU25 is still running on medium beyond 10 hours later (8 hour spec). The battery life is very much longer on the old NU25.
This is a quick review of the NITECORE NU20 Classic Headlamp. NITECORE finally listened to the user community and updated the headlamp to be pretty much a direct functional replacement for the NITECORE NU25. The 1 Lumen low modes work great, it’s light (28 grams for the body, identical to the NU25), and it now has USB C! I’ll be replacing my NU25 with this for my thru hike attempt, primarily to get down to one type of power cord for all my electronics (USB C).
I would have preferred the grid style band mount rather than this solid one with embossed grid (I drilled a couple holes to accommodate a lighter band). At 28g, it weighs the same as the old one. As some have noted - Turbo and High modes drop down over about a minute to something slightly brighter than medium.
