Welcome to Friday, friends! A few showers and thunderstorms will be possible for the first few daylight hours today before we clear out and watch the temperatures rise. We'll be in the 85-90 degree range for the afternoon with heat index values in the low to mid 90s. A storm can't be ruled out this evening and overnight for areas north of US-30, especially from Dubuque to Rockford. Here in the Quad Cities, we will be dry with humid conditions overnight.
We'll start our Saturday around 70 degrees with 90 a good bet for the afternoon. Mostly sunny skies are expected both days this weekend.
We'll remain hot and humid for Sunday and Monday before a few cooling thunderstorms will work in late Monday through Tuesday.
