This week's video is about an interesting Barolo vintage: 2017. With its very hot climate and absence of rainfall, 2017 posed a challenge to producers. Similarly to 2003 the risk of over-ripe and cooked wines was real. Luckily knowledge accrued from past vintages, allowed winemakers to use smart canopy management and more advanced decisions in the cellar. The outcome is very positive and surprising, with wines that are fruity, inviting and polished.
