Two gothic chillers from Francis Coppola, one from the start of his career (1963), and one from the tail-end (2011), and both significantly re-edited. Dementia 13 was shot in 9 days (and written overnight). it's a sickly stylish murder yarn. B'Twixt Now and Sunrise is a vampire movie about a washed up writer (Val Kilmer - channelling Coppola?) sucked into a nightmare scenario... It's schlocky, campy, but also a deeply personal film about the greatest loss Coppola experienced, the death of his son at age 22.
