Russia's President Vladimir Putin visits the City of Angels memorial cemetery in Beslan on Tuesday, August 20, for the first time since the 2004 killing of more than 330 people, mostly children, in a hostage siege. The September 2004 siege lasted some 50 hours, ending in a gunfight when Russian special forces stormed the building following a series of explosions in the school gym, where the hostages were being held. #russia #putin #politics #worldnews
