As the High Speed Push Pull Trials continued on the India's fastest sector, i made sure this time i will leave no stone unturned in capturing the full fledged 160 km/hr speed show by the push-pull rajdhani train on any intermediate station on the India's fastest stretch..!!
The previous day a full 160 kmph speed trial was conducted on the Delhi-Mathura-Delhi route with the push-pull Rajdhani Express so the stakes were high on it's Delhi-Kota journey.. with high hopes and high adrenaline rush i landed at Ajhai on one fine chilly morning..!! The high speed action commenced with the speed gun Bhopal Shatabdi which gave a perfect kick start of the day with an enthralling 150 km/hr speed show.. the speed treat was just amazing and when the Gatimaan Express roared past at 160 km/hr speed.. all eyes were now set on the ultimate prize .. the second 160 km/hr hurricane in the form of the Push-Pull trial.. even the SM had hyped about the trial which acted as a catalyst for boosting my adrenaline rush..!! As i geared up for the moment... i came across another surprise and it was the moment when the Legendary 12904 Golden Temple Mail was looped at Ajhai to give way for the Push-Pull Rajdhani Express...!! The priority which the Push-Pull Rajdhani got was just mind boggling... GT Mail got looped at 9:30 am and after a full clearance and wait of over 20 minutes in came the ultimate showdown..!! Enjoying a full clear run was the BRC duo WAP-5#30090 & 30087 led Push-Pull Rajdhani which came in charging like wild bull... and then as it lashed past me.. i got the biggest surprise that this time the speed trial was not conducted at 160 km/hr as the speed seemed less when the push-pull rajdhani express crossed me.. Sadly that day the trials were being conducted at 130-140 km/hr speed owing to the fact that the BRC WAP-5#30090 (the leading loco) had developed issue/snag in it's software during the 160 trials on the Kota-NZM run so it had to be restricted at 130-140 km/hr on the return leg.
I was dejected as i was anticipating a 160 km/hr showdown instead i had to content myself with a restricted speed show of 140 kmph instead.. But still as they say "Something is Better than Nothing" i cheered myself up and was happy that i had got this opportunity to capture such a rare moment when a legendary superfast ie. 12904 Golden Temple Mail was looped for a trial train.. the last instance being the 22181 Jabalpur-Nizamuddin Superfast Express which was looped at third line at New Faridabad coincidentally for the same train but with Mu'ed WAP-5 during it's Mumbai-Delhi trial run.
So just sit back and enjoy the rare moment when the Push-pull Rajdhani trials creates mayhem at Ajhai as it bashes past the looped Golden Temple Mail at around 140 km/hr speed..!!
