A wild silk, eri is an environmentally sound, exceptional natural fiber found pre-dominantly in the Himalaya. There exists a rich, ancient tradition of rearing, spinning and weaving eri silk, even today. It is considered sacred and is a way of life for the indigenous people living in the foothills of the Himalayas.
