From May 1st, 2019 we witnessed a pod of Killer Whales attack a Gray whale calf in Carmel Bay. In this short film you can see the Orca rip the tongue out of the Gray whale while it was still alive and continue to feed upon the whale by going after the lower jaw and throat. The Orcas later presented the carcass to our boat and we were humbled with amazing looks at this once in a lifetime wildlife spectacle.
