Back in the late 70's early 80's I worked for a restaurant group that was bought by a German restaurant chain called "Wienerwald Chicken". They tried to incorporate some of their European style food into the menus of Ranch House and Lum's restaurants here in the USA and it did not go over well. The chicken was very simply seasoned rotisserie cooked almost like what you see now in your local Costco and grocery store.
The recipe for the run I used on this bird:
1/4 cup kosher salt
3 tbs paprika
1 tbs garlic powder
1 tap ground black pepper

I used the Typhur Sync wireless thermometer system to monitor the cooking and internal temperature of the bird while it was spinning!
