PEANUT ALLERGY STUDY
It's Food Allergy Awareness Week! And chances are you, or someone you know has a peanut allergy. And now, researchers in the UK think they've worked out a way to cut the risk of developing the allergy, with one simple trick. You would've never guessed it, but the simple trick is actually just feeding kids peanut butter when they're babies! That's what this new report from a team of researchers in the UK has found. It says giving babies small doses of peanut butter could be good for them in the long run. This is because the immune system is more adaptable in infancy. So if we feed babies these foods in early life, it actually helps our immune system to recognise that these aren't harmful substances, and it won't launch an immune response against them. But, it wasn't long ago that researchers thought the complete opposite. Food allergy is pretty common here in Australia, with peanuts being one of the most common, and most severe. Even if you don't have an allergy, there are things you can do to keep your friends safe. For example, don't share food with people who have allergies. If you eat something your mates are allergic to, make sure you wash your hands after eating it. And if they look sick, let a parent or teacher know as soon as possible.
FRENCH OPEN
Aussie Alex de Minaur has dominated in the opening round of the French Open. After a five-hour delay from rain, the Australian number one wasted no time thumping his opponent American Alex Michelsen in straight sets last night. He'll go through to the second round starting tomorrow, alongside fellow Aussie Thanasi Kokkinakis, after his five set win in an all-Aussie epic against Alexei Popryin.
MATILDAS EFFECT
Since the FIFA Women's World Cup, the "Matildas effect" has rippled across the country, inspiring waves of young women to hit the soccer field. But it's causing a bit of a problem too. The number of women and girls playing soccer across Australia has skyrocketed, all thanks to a phenomenon called "The Matilda Effect". In SA, Lilly is just one of 1,300 girls who's started playing soccer this year! But the sudden boom in player numbers, has kicked a bit of a curve ball. In many cases, clubs have run out of pitches, coaches and equipment, trying to keep up with the influx of new players, meaning some young players have missed out. During the Women's World Cup last year, the SA government announced it would spend 18 million dollars to help grow women's sport. And although the sport is growing, some clubs say there's still a long way to go. But for these Adelaide Jaguars, they'll be following their idols no matter what.

And finally, if you're thinking, "Is that the house from the 1990's hit film Home Alone starring Macaulay Culkin?" Then you would be correct! The famous crib has just gone up for sale, and is listed as one of the most famous houses in the world!
It's changed a lot since the movie, but still carries a Hollywood price tag of more than 7.8 million Aussie dollars!
