The Polaris has been my All Day Keyboard for a very long time now, Recently there has been alot of debate about the Polaris vs The Prophet so here is my 2 cents on the subject. I think the Polaris sounds just a touch better while the Prophet has a huge advantage in typing feel. I think the reason the Polaris sounds a little bit better is because you can get the sound profile that firmer plates offer but still have that soft bottom out sound that Gasket Mounts done right like the Polaris offer. The race is alot closer then some have made it out to be and I think thats because the Prophet is alot harder to build in order to get its best sound profile possible. The Polaris is so well designed that you can put any build with any combination of materials into it and it will sound really really good...... Again though for my preference's I think the Polaris sounds best with Vintage Blacks on a Allu Plate or NK Creams on a Brass Plate. JWK switches on a FR4 Plate will give you a really fun and bouncy typing experience but at the cost of the sound profile being alot higher pitched IMO and at that point you are better off with a Prophet then a Polaris. So my Recommendation would be if you like something really really soft and bouncy go with the Prophet, If you like a lower pitched tone but with still a soft bottom out go with the Polaris and a Firm Plate Material.... Hope that Helps
