This is Mimi. I rescued her when she was about three months old
She gave birth to five beautiful kittens. One of them died soon after birth
Last year she sneaked out of the house to play
She was about to give birth the second time
One of my neighbours poisoned her with rat poison
She came back home sick
I thought she was about to give birth
I was excited and made a nice room ready for her and her kittens
The third day, she couldn’t walk. That’s when I thought something was terribly wrong with her
I took her to the vet. That’s when I found out she was poisoned
How did I know it was rat poison ?
It’s a common practice in my home country Morocco
It took her many many months before she could feel well again
It was a miracle she survived
