Supermarkets have continued to clamp down on customers who refuse to wear masks.
On Monday, Boris Johnson said that "we need to enforce the rules in supermarkets" to prevent people from spreading coronavirus, while Matt Hancock insisted that stronger action was "necessary".
Morrisons said customers who refuse to wear a mask without a medical exemption will be told to leave its stores, while Sainsbury’s said its security staff will “challenge” shoppers who are not wearing masks or are entering stores in groups.
