I first got introduced to this traditional Pakistani recipe by a good friend of mine and since I have been hooked. It was one of those recipes that I had to learn and now I am sharing with you. It is traditionally served with naan but my kids enjoyed it with some rice on the side.
Ingredients:
• 4 tbsp. oil
• 1 large red onion, finely chopped
• 1 ½ inch ginger root, finely chopped
• 2 tablespoon garlic minced
• 750g chicken thighs and drumsticks
• 1 can chopped tomatoes
• 1 tsp. cumin powder
• 1 tsp. coriander powder
• 1 tsp. garam masala
• 2 tsp. red chili powder
• 1 tsp. turmeric powder
• 1 ½ tsp. salt
Garnish:
• 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
• 1 inch ginger root, thinly julienned
