-Learn how to inspect your 912 / 914 Crankshaft for distortion or "twisting"
This is a MANDATORY inspection after a propeller strike if your engine Is NOT equipped with an overload clutch in the gearbox.
Without the overload clutch to absorb the shock load from a propeller strike, the crankshaft can be damaged or "twisted".
This inspection can also be used to check for crankshaft damage caused by over speed or on 914 engines an over boost condition.
