UPDATE: I wanted to add that I've done some more testing and it seems like the whine I experienced was mostly due to a poorly shielded cable I had running into my M8. At max volume I can still hear a very slight whine, but it is very difficult to hear at normal volumes, and I don't think it would impact recordings meaningfully.


I finally received the Livetrak L6, and it is looking to be everything I was hoping for it to be! I spent some time talking about how I plan to use this with my M8 workflow, and my overall pros and cons of the device.
