This video talks about MY next steps after passing the NCA exams and receiving certification to be academically qualified to apply to a provincial law society. The next steps for me were to secure a future articling position and apply to the law society.
I have learned quite a few tips and other useful information along the way that you can consider, at your own peril, whether it would be useful as supplemental information for YOUR journey. I.e. this is not personal advice in any way, I am simply sharing general information with no guarantee as to its accuracy, as this is a story of my own personal experience and I in no way represent or claim to be any kind of official authority on the subject.
Prior to approval by the law society (in B.C. at least), you are not considered an articling student, and cannot act or hold yourself out as one in any way. Approval from a law society can take time.
Best of luck in your journey!!
