The US has joined talks in Vienna on salvaging the Iran nuclear agreement, which the Trump administration withdrew from in 2018. Iran is demanding an end to the crippling sanctions imposed by the former president, and has refused to meet with American officials face to face.
FRANCE 24’s chief foreign editor Robert Parsons says the talks are a positive sign for proponents of the JCPOA deal.
