Today I am going to show you how to sow larkspur seeds.
Larkspur are my favourite annual to grow and winter is the perfect time to sow larkspur seeds.
They are an absolute favourite of mine and this will be my third year growing them. Flowering from early June they add, height, colour and attract so many bees.
Larkspur seeds need 'Cold Stratification' which is a period of time in the cold before they are sown. I keep my seeds in the freezer for a week before sowing.
Larkspur will need staking. They can be very flimsy and won't withstand wind and rain without the support. I made a grid out of bamboo canes and string and they grew incredibly well.
You still have loads of time to get sowing. You will be glad to have tried these.
Thanks for watching.
