Drink a Beer and Play a Game Review Baseball for the NES.
This was a launch title on both the Famicon and the NES, with the releases being 1983 and 1985 respectively. At the time, this was the most realistic baseball game out there, and a huge upgrade over the games that showed up on the Atari, Colecovision, or Intellivision. When it came out in 1983, the game used the first initials of the Japanese Central League, whereas the NES version used teams representing the MLB. The game was not licensed by the MLB or the MLBPA, so no team names, colors, or player names are represented.
As a trailblazer for future games this would prove to set the standards for controls in a Baseball game #Baseball #BlackBox #NES
