Afreen was first sung two decades ago by Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. The song is written by Javed Akhtar and composed by Khan Sahab himself personifies the excellence of beauty.
The song was revisited by Coke Studio Pakistan earlier this year in its Season 9 edition, seamlessly transforming the essentially Qawwali song into an unplugged track voiced by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Momina Musteshan.
Ankit Babu Adhikari, Prabisha Adhikari and Kobid Bazra hereby re-revisit the legendary song.
The arrangement is based on the coke studio Season 9 iteration of 'Afreen'.
