The Supreme Court has issued a show cause notice for contempt of court to Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf for failing to implement its directives of writing a letter to Swiss authorities to reopen graft cases against President Asif Ali Zardari. The government has filed a review petition in the Supreme Court against the court order striking down the Contempt of Court Act 2012. Nine people including two security officials were injured when a bomb exploded in the Hayatabad area of Peshawar today.
