When we visited Singapore Jurong Bird Park in Dec 2020, we tried to film as much as possible, knowing this would be our last visit before the park relocates to Mandai in 2022. This is Singapore’s first wildlife park and for 50 years, this bird paradise has given us special moments spent with friends and families, with such a diversity of birds to see.
In this video, we provide highlights of these birds, as we explored the different zones in the park. The birds are kept in large avaries, some as high as 9-storey tall, to enable the birds experience an almost natural habitat. We love seeing these beautiful birds fly up high! You need to spend about a day to see most of the birds, as the park area is quite huge.
Although Jurong Bird Park Singapore is closing down soon, we know that in the near future, we can expect a bigger and better bird park. In Mandai, the bird park will finally be together with the rest of the wildlife parks - the Singapore Zoo, River Safari and Night Safari.
This is just a beginning of the end.
