Christmas is a time of giving!
We share gifts with families and loved ones. We go out of our way to be more generous, reflecting the love God has shown to us in the gift of the Christ child.
Our congregation seeks to live out that generosity throughout the year, but perhaps this weekend is one of the most apparent. On Friday and Saturday of this week, we will be sharing the gifts of the Kernersville Christmas Stocking. This is a program that has been in operation for over 30 years, seeking to provide Christmas for families who would be unable to do so by themselves.
This year through the generosity of so many, we will be providing Christmas for over 140 families! That is a testimony to so much work and so many gifts!
But that is not the only thing happening this weekend. We have mission funds available through our Community Outreach Committee. We worked with Butch Sawtelle, Farmers Hardware and the Moravian Board of World Missions Disaster Relief Response Team to send 50 heaters to Lansing, NC, an area still dealing with the devastation from Hurricane Helene.
In addition, we sent $1000 to Partnership Ashe to help with supplying Christmas Gifts for the children in Ashe County (Jefferson, West Jefferson, Lansing, Todd areas).
Thank you for being a part of this ministry! Too often we forget the reach of our stewardship! This season reminds us!
