Giodo is a farm located in Montalcino and in particular between Sant’Angelo in Colle and Sant’Antimo on the southern side of the denomination.
6 hectares of vineyards and a perfect location for exposure, altitude and complexity of soils give rise to some of the richest wines of identity in Tuscany and in the world.
Since its inception in 2002 Giodo has been synonymous with elegance.
The company of Carlo Ferrini, one of the most famous consultant winemakers in Italy, is today entrusted to the skilled hands of the young Bianca Ferrini, ready to give her all in this adventure after training in agriculture in Italy and in marketing in the United States.
Giodo is the union of the names of Carlo's parents, Giovanna and Domenico, a tribute to the most important people in his life to whom he owes everything.
Not only is it also the crowning of a dream of a project conceived and designed with a great love of his life: Sangiovese.
At the base of everything for Giodo is the pursuit of excellence. Everything starts from the selection of plants and clones ideal for obtaining elegant, balanced and persistent wines. Every choice, every detail, in the vineyard and in the cellar, has the utmost importance and implies absolute attention to detail. A mosaic of many small pieces, each fundamental, made unique by the long experience of Carlo Ferrini. And from the extraordinary passion that he has also been able to transmit to his daughter Bianca.
Giodo produces a Brunello di Montalcino, a Rosso Toscana recently baptized with the name La Quinta and an extraordinary wine produced on the slopes of Etna at 950 meters above sea level from old pre-phylloxera plants that are between 80 and 100 years.
