Dial in the tones of J Mascis and get some Dinosaur Jr. sounds, like those from “Almost Ready” or “Freak Scene.” Using pedals like the Mr. Black TunnelWorm, Wampler Plexi-Drive, and the Double Rock, which was designed by ZVex for J Mascis himself, you can get the harsh, fuzzy goodness and wild flange that defines these songs. As in all #PotentPairings videos, we're trying to approximate the sounds heard on the recordings by dialing in effects as close as we can.
